Russia launches missiles at Ukraine purchased from Western countries – a captain
Missiles are illegally imported into Russia.
If Russia uses sea-based launch platforms to strike Ukraine, it will have enough missiles for several more such attacks like the one that occurred on the morning of November 17.
This opinion was expressed on the air of Espresso TV by captain first rank of the Ukrainian Navy (reserve), strategic expert at Sonata company, and former deputy chief of Staff of the Ukrainian Navy from 2004 to 2020, Andriy Ryzhhenko.
“I can speak about maritime means of attack, about ships. I believe there is a reserve for several more such strikes, and we can expect them. To reload the ships, the launch systems, it doesn’t take much time – just hours. And with the arrival of colder weather, these strikes may repeat,” the reserve captain said.
According to the military expert, the missiles Russia launched at Ukraine on November 17 were likely illegally imported from Western countries after the full-scale invasion.
“It is very important to understand that all these missiles now flying at us were probably illegally imported into Russia through third countries after the start of the war against Ukraine by Russia. That means we have seen missiles like the Kh-101, Kh-55, and Kalibr,” he said.
